Meagan Gravel (b. 2003) is a fine artist born and raised in Western Massachusetts. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Painting from the University of Massachusetts,Amherst; she previously attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
Her work, predominantly in the forms of oil painting and printmaking, combines expressive portraiture and subversive, uncomfortable imagery to confront incidents of trauma and the complexities of the female experience through an autotheoretical lens.
Her work has been featured in the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), Herter Art Gallery (Amherst, MA) and ARTery GAllery (Holyoke, MA).
